Tetra MMBR Systems
Tetra MBBR systems are systems used to treat wastewater from different sources together with other processes in order to treat wastewater in the most appropriate way.
Tetra MMBR Systems
Tetra MBBR systems can be used to treat wastewater from different sources (domestic, wineries, dairy, etc.) together with other processes in order to treat wastewater in the most appropriate way: after anaerobic treatment to remove BOD (biochemical oxygen demand); before activated sludge systems for high BOD/COD (chemical oxygen demand) treatments, for upgrading existing plants (lagoons, oxidizing ponds and activated sludge plants) or as a pre-treatment in existing activated sludge system to comply with new regulations in nitrogen removal.
Tetra MBBR systems can be applied to a wide variety of wastewater flow rates from 20 m3/day to 10,000 m3/day.
Tetra MBBR systems contain small biomass carriers (0.93-0.95 SG) that are less dense than water. These carriers provide a large protected surface area for bacterial production and allow the sites to retain active biomass within the bioreactor. Thanks to the unique design of the biofilm carriers, the system is protected from value deviations (pH, temperature, toxic shock) during operation, resulting in a highly durable system suitable for various loading fluctuations.
