The DAF system works according to the principle of floating the oil, grease and other pollutants in the waste water with dissolved air. The air dissolved in the water under pressure experiences sudden pressure loss in the free environment and forms micro air bubbles. As these air bubbles move towards the surface, they also carry the pollutants in the wastewater upwards. Pollutants are removed from the system by means of a scraper on the surface.
