It is a compact unit where sand and oil removal takes place in a single stage during pretreatment. When wastewater enters the compact unit, it first passes through the screen channel. The wastes accumulated on the screen surface are discharged by passing through the screen press. Waste water passing through the screen channel is transferred to the sand and oil trap section. The sand in the waste water settles to the bottom of the tank, from there it is dewatered and removed from the system by means of a spiral conveyor. The oil accumulated on the surface is removed by scraper or sluice system, depending on the operational needs.
