River Water Treatment Systems

River Water Treatment Systems

  • EXPLANATION

Lamella Clarifier Systems are designed with the most suitable surface area and angle in the least possible area. With this design, 10 times more precipitation surface area is provided compared to the area covered by the lamella. The space occupied by the system is minimized by keeping the distance between the plates very small.

    PRODUCT FEATURES

System design is made with the principles of physical and chemical treatment.
There are two standard systems with capacities of 50 m3/h and 100 m3/h; For higher capacities, personalized solutions are made with multi-system designs.
Provides 10 times more settling area than conventional settling ponds
Corrosion resistant, PVC plates are fully submerged
Plates are placed at an angle of 55 degrees for optimum settling
Low operating cost thanks to self-cleaning plates and non-moving parts
It provides more efficient use of space with its small footprint design.

    SCOPE OF APPLICATION
Pre-chlorination, coagulation-flocculation, lamella treatment, sand filtration and  Compact treatment systems consisting of chlorination units are an ideal process for suspended solids removal.

In Iraq, water taken from rivers or other natural springs is used to produce water of suitable quality for domestic use. (drinking water or other uses)
    The systems included in the water treatment plant are written below;

    1. PRE-CHLORINATION
Pre-treatment with chlorine before settling or filtration is a necessary practice in order to obtain quality purification in accordance with WHO (World Health Organization) standards.

    2. COAGULATION-FLOCULATION
The purpose of Flocculation-Coagulation is to remove very fine particles from water components that cause turbulence and often form stable colloidals.

    3. LAMELLA TREATMENT
Treatment of raw water after chemical treatment is usually done by precipitation. Lamellar deposition is often used to reduce the required deposition area. Unlike conventional deposition, lamella deposition saves space by providing a high deposition area on a low surface area. After settling, the treated water passes into the storage tank, the water from the storage tanks is pressurized to the sand filters by horizontal centrifugal pumps.

    4. SAND FILTER
The purpose of the sand filter is to remove all the small parts and flocs that cannot be removed by the settling process, making the clean water ready for general use.

    5. DISINFECTION (FINAL CHLORINATION)
With the final chlorination, the required residual chlorine amount is provided in the purified water, ensuring that there is no bacteriological contamination in the water.
