TETRA ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER SYSTEMS
Tetra Activated carbon filters are used for the purification of undesirable chlorine, color, taste, odor-giving molten gases, residues and organic substances in water. Activated carbon is a coal-like material with a very large surface area (1000-1500 m2/gr).
In Activated Carbon Systems, during the purification of water, besides the filtration mechanism, the absorption mechanism also operates. For this reason, Activated Carbon Filters are systems that make physico-chemical purification.
Activated Carbon Filters work fully automatically without the need for human intervention. The Activated Carbon Filter, which performs automatic backwashing for 15-20 minutes a day, renews itself in this way.
Another issue to be considered about activated carbon is that the mineral bed can create a suitable environment for bacterial growth. Because activated carbon accumulates organic matter in its body and if there is bacteria in the water, bacteria can reproduce by using this organic matter as food. In such cases, bacterial leakage is possible. For this reason, it is important to disinfect the water before and after the activated carbon.
